It's Time for Art - Let's Walk in Chelsea
Much has been made of the new High Line on the West Side of Manhattan, but did you know that it is also right in the middle of what many consider the most important center for contemporary art - the "foremost art district in the world," as it was described in The Villager (Volume 77 / Number 30 - Dec. 27 - Jan.2, 2007)?
The center for art has moved all around New York, and perhaps most recently from SoHo to Chelsea, taking advantage of all the space available in large warehouse buildings along the High Line and in the neighborhood.
We here at The Street Teacher want to take you to see this art, and also to see art in its creation - see artists at work.
